IBARMIA origins go back to the 40’s when the IBARMIA family started a small shop for parts of other machine tools. In 1953, the evolution of this work took them to the manufacturing of drilling machines in which they become internationally known.
IBARMIA added automatic tilting heads to the machining centres and launched a range of solutions for big circular pieces (bearings and flanges) combining the know-how in drilling processes and the experience building CNC machines. In 2005 the company is re-estructured in various business units. In 2009 the drilling machines business unit took the name IBARMIA UNIVERSAL and left the group.
IBARMIA focuses on highly competitive products of great added value, permanently innovating the processes. We believe in the multifunctionality of our machining centres and are also developing Vertical Turning Lathes of high capacity for big diameter rings.
